赤やピンク、白の花に、常緑の葉をつける椿は、古くから日本人に親しまれてきた花です。
茶道を確立した千利休は椿を好み、茶道の世界では“茶花の女王”と呼ばれる高い格式を持っています。芸術の題材としても用いられ、ココ・シャネルの有名なカメリアモチーフの元になったのは日本の白椿と言われており、さまざまなアーティストを虜にしてきました。
春を間近に、茅ヶ崎の氷室椿庭園では数多くの美しい椿を見る事ができます。椿の鮮やかな色彩が装いに華を添えます。

Design Concept
The “Tsubaki / Camellia” tie clip from the ArtOpus.SHONAN Flower Series adds a refined and elegant accent to the chest.
Camellias, with their evergreen leaves and blossoms in shades of red, pink, and white, have been cherished by the Japanese people since ancient times. Sen no Rikyū, who established the foundations of the Japanese tea ceremony, was particularly fond of camellias, and within the world of tea they are regarded with great dignity as the “Queen of Tea Flowers.”
Camellias have also been widely used as artistic motifs. It is said that Coco Chanel’s iconic camellia design was inspired by the Japanese white camellia, a flower that has captivated artists across generations. As spring approaches, numerous beautiful camellias can be seen at the Himuro Tsubaki Garden in Chigasaki. The vivid colors of camellias add a graceful brilliance to any attire.
